We are different because we make complex wellness concepts SIMPLE and ACTIONABLE.
A lot of people “know” about the brain, wellness, trauma and well-being, however, only a small percentage of people live their knowledge by taking action.
We are laser focused on supporting individuals, schools and organizations in taking daily action through healthy habits that create a positive culture and climate. As part of the focus on simplicity and action, 1-2-3 Wellness integrates interdisciplinary ideas related to the brain, emotional intelligence, behavior change, priming our brains for learning and more.
After all, YOU deserve to benefit from the most powerful research in the world amid your busy life. -
Participants learn simple, yet powerful ways to build healthy wellness habits.
They’ll learn about self-compassion, stress reduction, processing thoughts in healthy ways, processing emotions in healthy ways, trauma-informed approaches, wellness techniques and practices and more.
In addition, each person who participates is guided to create their own personalized self-care plan.

Once leaders bring the program to their school or organization, they often proclaim that they “don’t know how we ever lived without it”! -
We find that the vast majority of adults and students want to participate because the program encourages them to do activities that they enjoy and help them feel well and alive. It’s fun and it works.
That said, students are invited to refrain from participating on days they do not want to. Ironically, when students show agency and choose to put their heads down while others practice wellness, they actually are doing a key part of the program - choosing what helps them feel strong and well.

1-2-3 Wellness is designed to help people activate the “rest and digest” part of their nervous system. In terms of the brain, we learn to create safety in the brainstem and connection in the midbrain on a daily basis. Doing so can help “prime the brain” for learning.
Imagine a room full of students who have just spent a minute calming their bodies and minds vs. a class that jumps right into academics. Which one do you think will be more effective academically for the remaining 59 minutes of class?
-
We worked with a team out of Stanford University to create the 1-2-3 Wellness App in order to scale the impact of the program.
The app is awesome! It helps people develop daily, healthy wellness habits and learn patterns about what helps them feel well in different situations. Here is a video explaining the power of the app
Plus, teachers, principals and superintendents each get a data dashboard showing trends about the culture of their school. The app shows how each student, classroom and school are feeling in real time as well as what wellness practices are helping most.

Yes. We take great measures to acknowledge and honor that many of us have experienced trauma and deserve resources, support and guidance that is trauma-sensitive.
-
Adult wellness sets the tone for youth wellness. Children need role models to show them what healthy emotional regulation can look like.
Through a process called “co-regulation” we influence each other and can help one another feel more safe and connected. When adults are more regulated, this regulation “ripples” out to their tone, words, actions and relationships.
